Currently, you can use Alexa features and services (such as the Alexa app) in the U.S., United Kingdom and Germany only. If you try to use the device in an unsupported country, some Alexa services may not work or may have limited functionality. You can fix it by going to 'Amazon app > Your Account > Digital Content > Manage Content and Devices', then you'll see 'Settings' and you need to change the country to US or create a new Amazon account with USA address.
Q2. Can't link Spotify to Alexa?
If Amazon and Echo will not link and just says 'an error occurred while attempting to link Alexa with external provider', you can resolve this now by using a PC (not Mac) and going through the linking process via http://layla.amazon.co.uk. Or logging into your Spotify profile online and go to look at details, if your email is displaying as your username and postcode is out of date, then update it to your email address and update the password. Going back into Alexa app and the Spotify setup, tap on 'not me' to start the linking process again and then log in.
